Sinopse

Hermann never plays cards. He is German and is a rational and pragmatic person. Hermann doesn´t believe in victory in gambling. Every evening he sits with friends until five o´clock in the morning and watches them play cards... He sees them win and he sees them lose. Hermann is not rich and he doesn´t want to risk the little money he inherited from his father. One night his friend, officer Tomsky, tells him that his grandmother knows the secret of three cards, and that these cards can win a lot of money. Hermann cannot forget this story: he must learn the secret to win a fortune! So he goes to the grandmother´s house and through the window sees a beautiful young girl. This moment will change his life, but will it be for the better... Elementary level (CEFR A2).
